Maggie Doyne, CNN Hero 2015

While most of us are in New Years Celebration spirit, let’s not forget about Maggie Doyne, CNN Hero 2015 and a founder of BLINKNOW organization. I did not knew anything about her, until I saw her clip posted in social media, explaining how grateful she is, to be in Nepal and thanking Nepalese people for accepting her as a daughter. This really moved me, and started following her in social media. I started going through her posts in her Instagram page and, learn more and more about the work she is doing in Nepal.

Today, she is the mother over 50 children and one of them was little baby Ravi, given birth by a Nepali mother but raised by an American woman, Maggi Doyne. She found him, when he was struggling with life and death. Maggie took care of him and did whatever a mother would do, to save her child from any danger. I saw baby Ravi’s progress in her Instagram page, every time she posted anything about Ravi, it made me very happy. He started progressing day by day to be a healthier baby from how he was before. I started thanking Maggie every day from my heart for what she has be doing for these children, not just by providing them with a basic needs but also becoming a mother figure for them. And I could clearly see the joy that Ravi brought in Maggie’s daily life, it was a pure love, nothing else.

Suddenly, I saw this posted in her Instagram page this morning.
maggiedoyne “I'm dying. I'm rotting away. I need him. I don't want to live anymore. He was sleeping next to me and then he was gone. Ravi's gone.”

I was devastated to learn this and could not believe at all for a minute. Especially, when I saw Ravi’s video clip posted in Instagram, two days ago, Maggie trying to teach him to speak. As always, I was very happy to watch him progressing and seeing Maggie’s work.

Who could have imagine that the baby she found in such a poor health condition, got his life back and was doing so well, would pass away just like that. Why would a God be so unfair to the person, who has done so much for others, by taking away a piece of her. Maggie loved everyone unconditionally and Ravi was an apple of her eye. He was very small and lived a short life but brought lot of happiness in Maggie’s life and to so many others, including me. She never asked anything else in return expect for improving the lives of underprivileged kids in Surkhet, Nepal.

This has made me realize that how unpredictable our life is. Yet, we keep running after the things that does not really mean anything, forgetting what really matters and taking things and people for granted, who means a lot for us.

Maggie Doyne, a resident of New Jersey, United States. There was no reason for her to leave United States and go live in a under developed country like Nepal, where life is completely upside down. She saw her life in the eyes of those poor kid, during her one visit to Nepal.

Maggie followed her passion and represented Nepal and the Nepalese kids in front of the whole world. She started with $5000 now almost everyone in the world knows about her work in Nepal. I can only imagine, the pain she and her whole Blinknow team must be going through at this moment. But at this time, Maggie needs our love and support. We need to stand by her side and give her the world.

Thank you for taking time to read such a long article.I wish everyone, Happy New Year 2016.  Peace ..

Best,

Prazol Maharjan

जय नेपाल ||

Indian Blockade, Crisis in Nepal

We all Nepalese need to understand that Indian politicians never wanted peace and prosperity in Nepal, whether its Gandhi, Nehru or this current pundit Prime Minister, Modhi. They have only one objective and that is to control Nepal and let the country run in their favor. India is the enemy, who is fueling this crisis within Nepalese people either by threatening or  by funding them, in order to make this crisis worst, from what it already is. When Mr. Modhi visited Nepal, after he became elected as a Prime Minister, he gave a great speech, giving all kinds of hope, saying how India will contribute to make new Nepal. He won the hearts of millions of Nepalese people. To our surprise, it was nothing but a lie and false hope, he betrayed, robbed Nepalese people and resources and fueled the crisis in the name of Nationality and religion.  Their only objective is to separate Nepal in small pieces, make them weaker and control them in the way they want. Wasn’t taking Sikkim, Kalimpong and Darjeeling enough for them ?

What is our Nepalese Governments doing today in this situation, where are they in this difficult time.  They are sleeping and having great time in their Palace. They do not care about the ordinary Nepalese, who died in the Middle East, who are being affected every second by this blockade. They do not care about the thousands of children, adults, men and  women on the verge of death due to the shortage of fuel, food and medications.

It does not make sense to point finger at others, when there is a problem inside your own house. It is difficult to fight when there are enemies living within ourselves, breathing and living in our own system. As someone said, “The first step in solving the problem is realizing that there is one”. We have parasites living in our own country, but breathing Indian air. They want to sell our country to India piece by piece, before we get any help from China and stand against them.
We cannot expect anyone to come help us, unless we start cleaning our country and system from these Indian parasites.

I have been living thousands of miles away from home, my mind and my body is here but my heart will always be in my beautiful country, Nepal.

Jai Nepal …

Nepal Crisis and Corrupted India

Nepal imports apparel, textiles, electronic equipment, machinery and equipment, leather products, vegetables, fruits, nuts, chemical, rubber, plastic, metal products, and motor vehicles parts from China. Basically, almost 90% of the things we use on a daily basis comes from China. Then why can’t we bring the petroleum from China as well. Especially, when Chinese Government is ready to help and willing to do so.

It’s been almost a month now, India have been blocking all the supplies including the petroleum products, in Nepal, in order to fulfill their selfish motive.  We are still recovering from the major Earthquake, now facing another major crisis of fuel shortage and food supplies.  I am sure the whole world knows about this but everybody is quiet. There is no point in pointing fingers at others, when your own system has a problem, and it is corrupted. Our politicians still want to be Indian puppet, as they are used to it. Shame on Nepalese government, who cannot do anything at this dire state of need except just letting India treat us like beggars.

Nepal’s geographical locations is in the middle of India and China, not inside India. It is not end of the world, this is the age of Globalization, we should never reply on one country for everything. It may seem easy and beneficial to bring supplies only from  India at this moment. But this is not a sustainable way to do business. We have to look for other options, and make better choices for our country, people and the future of new generations. We can't let Indian politicians run our Nation and decide the fate of our country.

Let's not forget this that India depends on Nepal for geopolitical reason. They need Nepal's river for irrigation, electricity. Nepal also acts as a buffer zone between India and china. Hence, India don't have to spend billions of rupees protecting its border with Nepal. Similarly, India earn a lot of transit taxes on goods coming to Nepal. All the Indian exports to Nepal helps business in Bihar. In addition to this bad relation with Nepal means India will have headaches facing Chinese invasion from the northern border. After all this, why aren't our Nepalese taking advantage of these things as India is doing right now. I ask myself this question every day, and I am sure all the Nepalese people do as well. This is the time for us to prove, is Nepal part of India or its own Sovereign Nation, which have never been colonized and produced one of the bravest warrior on earth, Gurkha, known in the history of mankind. This is a time for us to come together, and help each other out and stay strong.

I hope this is a good lesson for the Nepalese politicians and hope that they have learned the lesson of depending on one country for everything, when you have neighbor in other side who is as powerful as the other one and treats us with respect and dignity. If we give up this time, our country will always be slave to India. So, please do not just give up yet, there is much more to do in order to make our mark in this world and be proud to be call as Nepalese, nation of brave Gurkhas, where Lord Buddha was born, where the tallest mountain of the world resides.  Jai Nepal !!

Boycott FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar

https://www.oximity.com/article/Qatar-Won-t-Let-Nepalese-World-Cup-Wor-1#.VWP-IPrYpiQ.facebook

The whole world would still be watching FIFA World Cup 2022 and supporting countries like Qatar, who cares less, how many migrant workers dies as long as their World Cup stadium gets ready on time, What kind of world we are living in, where human life could be exchange for few pieces of papers.

According to the 2014 report from the International Trade Union Confideration, 4000 migrant workers could die as part of the World Cup construction efforts. The Guardian revealed Government documents showing that Nepalese workers died at the rate of one every two days last year.

I find it very interesting, how the whole world is coming together to help Nepal after the severe disaster left by an Earthquake but how come they cannot do the same thing, when thousands of migrant workers have died and still dying due to the poor working conditions in Qatar. Technically, the Qatari Governments are practicing modern day slavery and killing the migrant workers slowly.

Richest countries like Qatar and several other Gulf countries gets to play with people lives. FIFA, one of the reputed and biggest organizations in the world, and its President, Sepp Blatter doing almost nothing to stop this, what a shame. All  they do is just watch, they would throw a bid to anyone for money. God lives in the pieces of papers. We are just willing to do anything for it, slavery, killings, robbery, you name it.

FIFA  and the Qatari Government, You might be one of the most successful and richest countries monetarily, But you as a civilize nation, fail every single day. You eat with silver spoons but  care less about the poor migrant workers who are working day and night in the blazing sun, you cannot even provide them basic needs. Are we in a 21st century or still hundred years behind, is Qatar, one of the wealthiest people or a jungle ?

Similarly,  Nepalese Government is same thing, they would bow to anyone, as long as they get their share. They would keep sending poor people to work in Gulf countries, as long as they can make money out of it. I know we are one of the poorest nation but have some pride, learn to love your country and people, before it gets too late.
